Turn Creativity into Real Industry Pathways through Kaupapa Māori-led Coaching

Hāpai Tūhono Creative Careers Service supports Work and Income clients with creative skills or aspirations to build confidence and pathways into creative industries.


Through kaupapa Māori-led one-on-one coaching, we support participants to strengthen mahi skills, explore creative career pathways, and connect with opportunities aligned to their strengths, aspirations, and potential.

Helping participants explore pathways within creative industries:

  • Creative industry pathways and insight 
  • Mentoring and industry connections 
  • Portfolio development and online presence

  • Supported work experience placements (up to 4 weeks) 
  • Exposure to creative workplaces and environments 
  • Real-world experience to strengthen pathways into mahi

Continued support to help participants sustain employment and growth:

  • Workplace manaaki and mentoring 
  • Support to stay engaged in mahi 
  • Ongoing check-ins and guidance for up to 6 months post-placement

ELIGIBILITY

  • Work and Income clients with work obligations 
  • Creative skills, interests, or aspirations 
  • Referred through Work and Income / MSD
